Featuring ARC Force and Hot Start

With ARC Force, the current increases automatically when the arc is shorter. Hot Start automatically boosts the tension at the ignition of the arc, this function facilitates the electrical arc ignition. After ignition, the unit automatically returns to the pre-set voltage.

TIG and MMA Welding

TIG is a welding method in which the arc is maintained through an electrical current supplied from a non-consumable electrode. The arc is protected from the access of air by an inert gas. MMA is electrode welding with a coated electrode.

Choosing a Welder

Choosing the Correct Welder

Choosing the correct welding machine can be a daunting process. Our handy guide below explains some of the
terminology and different types of welders that we stock. This will help you to select the correct product that will be
fit for purpose for your specific welding tasks.

MMA (ARC/SMAW) – MANUAL METAL ARC

MMA (ARC/SMAW) – MANUAL METAL ARC

Traditional welding technique using a flux core. Simpler than other kinds of welding and quick to learn.

Suitable For:

  • Steels (non-Alloy)
  • Iron
  • Can be used for Aluminium, Copper etc

MIG (GMAW) – METAL INERT GAS

MIG (GMAW) – METAL INERT GAS

Uses an inert gas shroud around a continuously-fed reel filament to melt and join surfaces. Faster than TIG, suitable for most welding applications

Suitable For:

  • Aluminium
  • Steel/Stainless
  • Most welding applications

TIG (GTAW) – TUNGSTEN INERT GAS

TIG (GTAW) – TUNGSTEN INERT GAS

Uses a tungsten filament rod with inert gas shroud to melt and join surfaces. Produces a strong and higher quality weld than MIG.

Suitable For:

  • Stainless Steel
  • Thinner Metals
  • Fine Joinery

MAG (GMAW) – METAL ACTIVE GAS

MAG (GMAW) – METAL ACTIVE GAS

Reacts with the weld to produce less spatter or burn-in.

Suitable For:

  1. Simon Pankhurst

Super simple to set up, good quality accessories, all the power I think I will ever need and super speedy delivery…what more can I ask for

  2. Mark D

Arrived in Ireland from the UK in 3 working days, so fast that amazon said it was still in transit 2 days after I received it 😝 i haven’t welded in 20 years but I knew after 20 seconds this little welder was pure quality and I am in fact going to do a YouTube video promoting it as I couldn’t find one, haven’t tried the tig yet as I’m waiting on gas but the arc is so smooth and clear on stick I know the tig will be fine, very nice tig set too I might add… If I was to find a fault I would say The rod holder is a little finacky but perfectly functional, AAA..burned about 6 or 7 rods at 95 amps and its hard to see the restarts.. 👍

  3. Merv H

I bought this to try and self teach myself Tig Welding, I had a similar Mig only welder, This is excellent value as you have the ability to Mig or Tig Weld while this is relatively lightweight it has all you need for Hobby welding or Mobile Pro welding, very easy to set up and use.

The seller was very helpful when I had a couple of queries. I’m only a Hobby learner and I’m finding this a nice piece of equipment, being an inverter it also is economic on the electricity.

  4. Mike. H

Good little machine I’m great value for money

  5. Russell Stockil

    Does the job

  6. christopher kershaw

Spot on, v fast delivery, 2 days early, nice bit of kit, welds nice, v happy with it.

  7. Gaz

    Good quality for the price

  8. Saff

    Great little welder

  9. Brian grey

So far so good, works well for me as I’m a only weld for my self.

  10. Krzysztof B

Very simple to use, nice design and extremely compact was really surprise how small it is. I was surprised by the fact how easy it is to weld and use. As well it arrived day before it was scheduled what was a really nice surprise!

  11. Jacob M

This machine is excellent value for money. It is easy to use and produces decent welds, better than some far more expensive models I have used. I would certainly recommend this to others. The machine is lightweight, making it much more portable than other machines and small enough to not take up masses of storage space.

  12. OZGE

Nice bit of kit, was using the stick the day after I ordered, have not used tig yet, seems to be perfect for me,(Retired Welder) as is easy to use and light to move around unlike my old oil cooled Oxford, would have liked a bag for storage, and longer leads my only gripes, but not a problem. Very happy, thank you.

  13. Diane

Been involved in welding/fabrication work for a lot of years and tried a lot of different welding equipment. This welder is really a very good machine and the price is amazing. I use it more than another inverter welder which cost a lot more. says it all really.

  14. j m mclauchlan

not too heavy or large, easy simple controls, small gun easy for small delicate areas, tig d.c works fine with argon gas gas, upto 160 amps current so 4-6 mm thickness achievable.

minor grumble , no tungsten electrode supplied.

  15. MRS MARILYN HUNT

On arrival my husband used it in workshop initially arc welding & was most impressed after welding for over 50 years. Few days later after obtaining argon he was extremely impressed with the tug welding which he has never done before. He highly recommends this welder

  16. Liz

Received the welder nice and early wasn’t expecting for 3 more days. I bought this welder for my partner who is a Lloyd’s registered welder to do little jobs at home. He is really impressed with it. He is impressed with the tig torch as it’s a good size for what we need it for, he just wished it came with a small sample of tungsten so he could try the tig facility out, but we will get that next week.

  17. Peter

I have 44 years experience in welding related jobs and would recommend this machine for the hobbyist. TIG welding is excellent I have been using it on stainless steel every day for almost a month no problems. For the price I can live without up slope and down slope. Pre and post gas is set and is OK.

The Stick welding is again excellent for the price, used some 3.2, 6013 rods ran very well.
The indication is to run stick on a positive earth normally I would use a negative earth.

  18. Francis C

Neat little welding set, for the price can’t go wrong. Get a chuckle every time I open a box and see that little chinese “assemble your own” welding face shield, lol… Only thing missing is a TIG electrode set that should honestly be included in the TIG kit. But as I saw it in the questions that it wasn’t included, I bought some at the same time, along with Argon gas and a good regulator which doesn’t come with it either. Both Arc and TIG worked just fine, although I only used it a handful of times as I rely mostly on my MIG for 80% of my needs. But all in all good value for money, would recommend

  19. Dicky Blighter

Last used an arc welder about 15 years ago and it was basically a big transformer in a box with rheostat to control the output and weighed about 30kg Never got on really well with it and gave it away when I had access to pro quality mig welders at work.

Now I’m out of the engineering business I found myself needing a couple of small welding jobs doing and also needed to repair the snapped steering column bracket on my mobility scooter. Been quoted around £150 to buy the replacement scooter parts which are not the best made things anyway so decided to repair myself.

Was originally going to get just the MMA version of this but decided to go for the one with TIG option as I have a couple of projects lined up where this might be useful.
What a fantastic bit of kit this is for the money, well made, and sooo light to carry around. Despite not having touched a welder for such a long time a few minutes spent doing test welds on some scrap to get the right power setting and was able to repair the bracket with good sound welds within an hour of unpacking this machine. Digital readout and electronics controlling the scratch start and consistency of arc make working with this machine a totally different experience.
Next thing to do is get a regulator and gas bottle so I can have a go at TIG.

Only issue I had was that the welding mask was not in the package – however as those included tend to be a pile of poo anyway I had ordered an auto darkening helmet at the same time as well as some rods.

At £200 for the whole lot and delivered 18 hours after I had ordered I got my scooter back on the road and ended up with a useful bit of kit that I can see getting plenty of use for little more than I would have spent on parts.
